Luža
The name of the settlement is supposedly derived from a common surname in Kočevsko, Lackner, which denotes people who settled near a small water source - a puddle (German: Lacke). The people stayed here because of the water spring, which are rare in Kočevsko. At the end of the 19th century, Luža was one of the 24 locations where the Auerspergs had kept a forest guard.
The popular Roška footpath leads past the Luža cottage. By prior arrangement with the local Forest Service unit, it is also possible to sleep in the hut.
