Make your own Kočevsko spruce balm, workshop

Suitable for: adventurers, "green" visitors, active families and groups (up to 10 persons)

During this experience, you will walk through the Kočevsko forest and learn about the Kočevsko region and the (healing) properties of the trees. You will also be able to take a little of their healing power home with you, in the form of some spruce balm made according to a traditional recipe.

On a walk through the forest, in the company of an expert guide, you will learn about the attractions of the Kočevsko region, forest etiquette, the various conifers, wild forest inhabitants and more. Kočevsko is famous as a land of forests, and you will be able to get to know and feel the trees in the forest through all your senses – hearing, touch, smell and taste.

During the walk, you will collect spruce resin in a tree-friendly way and learn about its healing properties. You will finish the walk with a practical demonstration of how to make a traditional natural spruce balm and instructions on how to prepare the balm at home using ingredients from your own kitchen.

*The workshop programme can be adapted to the age of the participants
