The Kostel Family-Friendly Route

This circular route is easy and suitable for families with children. The starting point is at Petrina, where you can also park. The route starts on a road and then turns into the forest, where you can enjoy the tranquillity and abundance of green as you climb and descend. The route leads through typical Kostel villages, past the Štefančič organic farm, a primary school and a playground to the Church of the Assumption. You return to the starting point past an ancient white willow tree and along a dirt road running between village fields, just a stone’s throw from the Kolpa River. You are sure to see goats, sheep, cows or even donkeys grazing along the way!
