Mikul’s Devil Trail (Pot Mikulovega vraga)

Mikul’s Devil Trail in the immediate vicinity of the mighty Kostel Castle is an easy circular trail, just under 4 km long and suitable for families with children. The starting point is just a short walk from the castle car park, where the trail ends. The trail passes through the forest at the edge of the Krajc-Bukovje Forest Reserve and through the villages of Lipovec, Selo pri Kostelu and Zapuže. Along the way, you can learn about many animal and plant species, take in the tranquillity of unspoiled nature, cross numerous brooks, and see the typical Kostel architecture, old orchards, watering troughs and even a waterfall. You can get refreshments at the Padovac Tourist Farm on prior request, and you can also walk the trail with a guide.
